Shayla Phillips

Certified Environmental Testing Technician

Shayla Phillips is a dedicated Environmental Conservationist with experience in both land restoration and community outreach. She has worked with organizations such as the Poultney Mettowee Conservation District and Vermont State Parks, focusing on the identification of native and non-native plants, invasive species removal, and restoration monitoring. Shayla is skilled in ArcGIS, which she utilizes for management practices and creating management plans to support conservation efforts.

In her previous role as Redemption Center Manager at Union Street Grocery, Shayla demonstrated her leadership abilities by coordinating bottle drives, managing resources, and providing exceptional customer service. Her hands-on experience extends to public outreach, where she has been involved in educating communities about environmental conservation and best practices for invasive species control.

Shayla holds an Associates of Science from the Community College of Vermont and a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Forest Conservation at Vermont State University. Her contributions to Vermont State Parks earned her the Employee of the Year award, recognizing her exceptional commitment to trail management, park upkeep, and public engagement.

Shayla is certified in residential radon measurement by the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists National Radon Proficiency Program (AARST/NRPP).

At Criterium-Lalancette & Dudka Engineers, Shayla brings her strong organizational skills and passion for environmental stewardship to the team. Her responsibilities include customer service, handling testing logistics, and conducting water quality and radon in air testing.
