
George Zitka, P.E.
Chief Engineer
George Zitka is a licensed Professional Engineer specializing in mechanical engineering. George leads our engineering team in performing commercial and residential property inspections, property condition assessments, reserve fund studies, capital needs assessments, and consulting services.
George joined Criterium-Lalancette & Dudka Engineers in 2025 as Chief Engineer, bringing with him a diverse background that spans mechanical design, engineering project management, and software product development. He began his career designing industrial turbochargers for the oil and gas industry, where he earned the top score in the state on the Mechanical P.E. exam. After obtaining his MBA with honors from Ohio State University, George transitioned into technical sales, client account management, and product leadership roles. His experience includes managing North American and Asian sales territories for a Vermont-based turbomachinery software firm, and later working in aerospace tooling and mainframe software transition consulting.
With over three decades of combined engineering and business leadership experience, George brings a strategic and client-centered approach to building science. He is excited to return to hands-on engineering and to serve homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients across Vermont and New Hampshire.
George is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Vermont and Ohio. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. He is also certified in strategic sales and product management programs, including Pragmatic Marketing® and Sandler Sales®.
Outside of work, George enjoys road trips across New England with his family and reading classic sci-fi novels.
